7 things to think about when going to church

Church is a time of reflection and spirituality. When I was a kid we complained it was boring. My dad used to say, “You can spend one hour a week thinking about your life.”

To help you get focused, here are 7 things to think about when going to church.

Who built this church? Why isn’t there a Starbucks?

Why are there plenty of haunted houses but much fewer haunted churches?

Would more people attend church if they put the flags of NFL teams on the walls?

Why did the priest have to climb into this special booth to give the sermon? Is he watching Netflix on the sly up there?

Why does this church have balconies above the pews? Are those private skyboxes for corporations and rich people?

How come I’m always late and end up on these hard “overflow” chairs in the back where you have to kneel on the ground?

OK, it was fun, see you next week.
