Car rental companies arrest customer who returned car late from prom

Reports continue to flood the media about car rental companies arresting customers for “stealing” their cars. Why anyone would want a car ten thousand people have driven at twice the speed limit and slammed on the brakes “just to see what would happen” is a mystery.

One high-school senior, who at 25 was old enough to rent a car, was 30 seconds late in returning the car after renting it for his senior prom. Police nabbed him as he pulled into the rental lot and took him downtown for questioning.
