Allied Van Lines Offers Free Moving Vans to Celebrities Who Want To Leave the US
Sometimes you just want to say the heck with it and get out of town — for good. Several celebrities have threatened over the years to leave the US due to the toxic political climate among other reasons. Snoop Dogg said he might go to Canada, Lena Dunham suggested she might leave for Vancouver and Chelsea Handler said she would also head to the Great White North if her first choice of Spain didn’t work out.
“We realize being a celebrity is tough, and we know from experience that moving is a stressful experience. By offering free moving services to celebrities fed up with the US, we aim to help reduce their anxiety about a move to any international destination. This deal can save any family tens of thousands of dollars in moving expenses,” said a company spokesperson.
Reporters asked if the offer was new. “No, we’ve made it available for several years,” the spokesperson continued. “However, nobody has ever taken us up on it. We had a few ask if the offer could be modified to get free moving services from New York City to Beverly Hills, or from Westchester County to Palm Beach, but no international queries.”
