Dallas-based Pokemon Go characters are all the rage

Pokemon Go is still wildly popular in Dallas. Part of the reason it sustains is the Dallas-cased characters such as:


Texaur

  • Type: Grass/Cowboy
  • Description: Resembling a longhorn steer with a lasso tail, this Pokémon roams the open plains of the Dallas region. Its special move is “Lone Star Charge.”

Praireflame

  • Type: Fire/Bird
  • Description: A red-tailed hawk with flames for feathers. It soars high above Dallas, causing minor heatwaves below. Its signature move is “Blazing Dive.”

Mesquitch

  • Type: Grass/Dark
  • Description: Inspired by the mesquite tree, this creature uses its shadowy branches to hide and ambush unsuspecting Pokémon. Its main move is “Shade Strike.”

Rodeorider

  • Type: Fighting
  • Description: Wearing a cowboy hat and boots, Rodeorider can tame any Pokémon with its impressive lasso skills. It’s known for the move “Bull’s Eye Bind.”

Oilspout

  • Type: Poison/Water
  • Description: Resembling an oil derrick, this Pokémon can shoot oil at its enemies, causing them to slip and slide. Its signature move is “Gusher Gloom.”

Chillarmadillo

  • Type: Ice/Ground
  • Description: An armadillo covered in frosty armor, it rolls up into a freezing ball to tackle its foes with its “Frosty Roll” move.

Blubonnet

  • Type: Water/Flower
  • Description: Taking inspiration from the bluebonnet flowers, Blubonnet stores water in its petals and can release a torrential rain attack called “Petal Pour.”

Twisteroost

  • Type: Flying
  • Description: With the appearance of a tornado with wings, Twisteroost can whip up gusty winds to blow its adversaries away. Its powerful move is “Cyclone Surge.”

Cowboyclink

  • Type: Steel/Cowboy
  • Description: Wearing metallic cowboy attire, Cowboyclink can deflect attacks using its shiny armor. Its signature move is “Silver Shootout.”

Alamoghost

  • Type: Ghost/Historical
  • Description: Haunting historic sites, this spectral figure reminds trainers of Texas’ storied past. Its chilling move is “Remember Charge.”
