Facing your fear at Kjeragbolten

I find it hard to believe no one has fallen to their death here. You’ve probably seen images of people standing on this rock suspended between two cliffs. Called Kjeragbolten (in Norway), which means Kjerag Boulder, it is 5 cubic meters in size.

The drop is 791 feet or about 10 stories down to the gradient and then your body will tumble another 735 feet to the fjord below.

Yet there are no reported deaths even though there are no handrails and the step on the rock is a slight “jump” down. For most of the year there is a long line of people waiting to take their lives in their hands.

It’s a nope for me. I’m a clumsy old hockey player. I’d be a dead old hockey player.
