I still miss him

I try to practice my rudimentary Spanish around town. I don’t understand a lot, especially if their accent is thick or they speak quickly. My neighbor from El Salvador and I were talking about general LA topics.

She asked, “How did you handle Kobe?”

“It broke my heart and I miss him. One of the greatest of all time,” I said.

“Not Kobe,” she said. “Covid!”
