In José da Fonseca and Pedro Carolino’s 1855 book “English as She is Spoke,” they tried to create a guide to English for Portuguese students, but neither of them spoke any English.
They did have a Portuguese-to-French dictionary, and a French-to-English dictionary. The result was a mess. Here are some phrases:
“That are the dishes whom you must be and to abstain.”
“He does me some kicks.”
“It is a noise for which to cleave the head.” (Referring to orchestra music.)

It reminded me of text that comes out when you prompt an artificial intelligence automatic text generator with a sentence or two — mostly nonsense.
But what if you input nonsense from “English as She is Spoke” into a modern AI text generator? Would the AI produce text that made perfect sense?

One of my questions: is a player going to have a good game when he gets hurt, and is that how many times? He’s not doing that. I’ve just had a game where I was absolutely hurt and was getting hurt in some moments. If I get hurt twice a game, the game is a good thing. If I get hurt more, I probably should have gone for the first three weeks of life. If I can’t do that, then my game is a good thing. If I got hurt twice a game, I probably shouldn’t have gone for it.
I should have had two days before getting hurt and getting hurt. I don’t do that. If I have two days before going for the first three days of life, the game is a good thing. If I don’t get hurt, I probably should have gone for the first three days of life. If I get hurt as a result of one side of the game or the other, then my game isn’t good. If I get hurt like that, my game’s good. If I get hurt as a result of two sides of the game or the other side of the game, then my game is probably really bad.
One of my questions: “Is you not the same player that you are in second year?” — the other one.
A question: “Is your game all the same?” — this one is probably not going to answer my second question but it is certainly possible. I’ve been playing at home.
I haven’t had a good game up until this one so I know it’s different. I’ll make my way through that and then I’ll get really pissed.
