Elon Musk sold out of flamethrowers he created to make money for The Boring Company, his underground tunneling operation. Yes, flamethrowers. The Boring Company flamethrower sells for $500 and shoots a flame two feet long.

Actually, in LA county, it is legal to own a flamethrower as long as the flame is less than 10 feet long. Say what? 10 feet?

My dad would have loved this for lighting the barbecue briquets.

“Hey, Joe, hand me the flamethrower. And stand back.”

We’d stand behind a cement wall he built to shield us from any exploding briquets while he lit up the darkening sky with 10 feet of flame.

“Dad, I think the barbecue is melting.”
