Nevada Town Cook Ups 6000-Pound Taco

To celebrate the upcoming one-year anniversary of the legalization of recreational marijuana in Nevada, one town cooked up a 6,000 pound taco.

Nevada Forks, a small town near Mesquite, called on 25 volunteers to combine 1000 pounds of chips, 2500 pounds of cheese and 525 cartons of salsa in a giant bowl made for the event. Then they added beef, beans, peppers and cream.

“This is the biggest taco I’ve ever seen,” said Wily Wispertoner, a local storyteller and Amway distributor. “I mean, we are going to need people from as far away as Vegas to come and eat this here giant taco.”

The mayor said that was actually good advice. To help consume the taco, cit officials called on the students of University of Nevada, Lad Vegas and fans of the Vegas Golden Knights to make the trek north.
