Special birthday nod to the Queen, Dolly Parton. Remember all that cash Jeff Bezos gave her? Well, she immediately used it to expand her successful program that provides free books to kids, a program she started 28 years ago. I first met Dolly when we appeared in the little known sequel to “9 to 5” (1980) called “10 to 11” (1982). I played a handyman named Buck who was building a gazebo near her pool. One summer day, I asked her for a glass of water because of the hot Tennessee sun. This led to a summer of love every day from 10 to 11am. She got great reviews of course, but critics didn’t like my portrayal of Buck, one saying my performance reminded them of a middle-school rendition of “Pygmalion.” Here we are goofing around between takes.
