Potholes fly home from winter break
Potholes in the neighborhood returned from their winter migration destinations. Each year they fly south for the winter to return again in the spring.
“I love seeing the potholes again every spring,” said local plumber John C. Backedupagain. “I dropped into one so deep I considered adding a plumbing line for fresh water in case the paramedics couldn’t get us out.”
Hair stylist Linda J. Givemeafade is also a fan. “It’s so great to see the potholes on our roads again. I miss them all winter. Today I broke the axle on my Corolla when I hit two deep ones right in a row.”
Magician Waldo K. Pickacard agreed. “Potholes are a big part of our heritage in America,” he enthused. “Every year we lose entire Recreational Vehicles full of students going to Palm Springs, Corpus Christi or Key West on spring break. They go down into giant potholes and can’t get out. Usually they just party down there for a week until they can be helicoptered out. It’s a good time.”
