Turn it up, let’s go!
In 1590, Caravaggio put down the brush, called up a bunch of friends, and said, “Hey, let’s take a break from all this work and have a dance party!”
Those comrades answered the call with zeal. “Turn it up, let’s go!”
Things got so wild, Caravaggio said, “I need to take some photographs of this event.” But he couldn’t find a camera because they hadn’t been invented yet. So he painted this work he called, “Dance Party.” They are still talking about it in Milan today.
