“Tim McGraw” was the first single off Taylor Swift’s first album. I know artists have to grow and change, but I think this is when Swift was at her best as a singer-songwriter.

In this song, she sings about some young beau she spent “all summer long” by his side.

But when? When did she have the time to spend with some dude all summer?

She cut her first album deal at the age of 14 with RCA Records, dropped them and signed with Big Machine Records. She released her debut album, “Taylor Swift,” at 16 years old.
