This can’t be good. I was telling someone a story about how I was perplexed at this street sign, saying, “Yeah, I didn’t know what it meant. You know that Facebook emoji where he’s like, ? [at the same time I’m making the ?gesture with my hand on my face.]”
In other words, I referenced an emoji to communicate a feeling and gesture rather than describing the feeling and using the gesture.
