The Toronto Argonauts is unique among professional sports teams in North America in that they have used their original name longer than any other team using their original name. Depending on the season, fans have used other names for the team, ranging “bums” to “what did they do now?”
The Argonauts have won the Grey Cup a total of 16 times a league record. They won it 10 times up to 2012 when they won on the 100th anniversary of the Grey Cup. As as result, they received a bonus of five Grey Cup wins, bringing their total to 16.
A version of the “Boat Logo” has been used over the years. During losing years, the team adopts a logo where the boat is sinking, or broken up on a reef.
