3 Reasons the Los Angeles Dodgers Lost to the Boston Red Sox in the 2018 World Series

Painful. I admit it.

But there’s are always good reasons your team lost a World Series. Here are three:

Reliance on Bullpen

The Dodgers relied too much on their bullpen. I hear you thinking that you could say the same thing about the Cubs and they won it with their bullpen. True, but the Cubs were fueled by deep dish pizza, a food known to make players feel invincible, even in the face of 3-foot snows and green rivers.

First Strike

World Series games are won on emotion as much as talent. Red Sox first baseman Steve Pearce knows this because he put a wooden stake in the Dodgers in Game 5 last night by nailing a two-run, first inning home run courtesy of Dodger pitcher Clayton Kershaw. “I’m good at these kinds of plays,” he says. “I like to drive wooden stakes into opposing teams, and on weekends I moonlight as a vampire killer,” Pearce told reporters.

Tree House Brewing

The Red Sox also have a strong mental game. They know how to stay loose under pressure. They stay relaxed at home by going to their favorite local brewery, Tree House Brewing. Some have even moved their families to Charlton to be close to the company’s award-winning brews. “I moved my family here, including all 200 cousins,” said Red Sox star Mookie Betts. “For me, I don’t start my training day without a nice cool Julius, their best beer at Tree House. And I love the orange cans. Reminds me of all the traffic cones in the city.”
