3 Reasons the Milwaukee Brewers Will Mangle the Dodgers in the 2018 National League Championship Series
The Brewers are one high-speed running, hot-bat swinging, pointy-dart throwing, beer-brat barbecuing, potato-chip flipping, fire breathing, cold-brew slanging hot dog of a team. They play with the enthusiasm of a group of fifth-graders who FINALLY get let out of classes so they can storm the school’s baseball diamonds. Here are three reasons whey they will beat the Dodgers in the 2018 NLCS.
Deep Bull Pen
Since the Brewers don’t rely on one or two aces, expect to see an even rotation of most of the 937 pitchers on the Brewers pitching staff. One leaked memo stated they are considering changing pitchers for each individual pitch, keeping the Dodgers off balance at all times.
Erik Kratz
Kratz started playing in the big leagues after he turned 30 years old. He’s not some pipsqueak 21 year-old spending all this time on the Gram and Snapchat. This guy has seen LIFE, the ups and downs, the triumphs and the struggles. That’s the kind of seasoning that makes players into champions and champions into legends. And an eventual Brewers World Series win means free drinks for the rest of their happy lives in Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Beaver Dam and other Brewers strongholds throughout the country.
League Switcheroo
Along with the Astros, the Brewers are one of two teams who have switched leagues in the history of MLB. If they lose to the Dodgers, the rumor is they will switch back to the American League in embarrassment. The thinking is that no matter how bad they screw up, they will always look better than the Orioles, who actually are a very good team if you placed them in the Baltimore County High School league.
