7 bread buying tips
I love me some bread, so here are some bread buying tips for you.
You can tell which day the bread was baked by looking at the tie or tag color. Blue is Monday, green is Tuesday, red is Thursday, white is Friday, yellow is Saturday. There are no deliveries on Wednesday and Sunday.
They rotate the bread from the bottom up with the newest (freshest) dates on the bottom shelves, older bread on top shelves. There is likely a “best before” date printed on the bread bag or the tag.
If the bread is more colors than the hair of the punk kid who lives down your block, it’s bad and you shouldn’t eat it.
You can save money by sneaking in the back of the store and driving a forklift full of bread directly to your car.
Bread should be put at the bottom of the bag when packing your groceries at the store. It provides a nice soft support for your eggs.
Don’t buy any bread that pretends it was made by prisoners inside a 1920s-era county jail in Jacksonville, Florida.
Don’t buy any bread that has the words Almost, Half-Baked, Aromatic or 10-Year in the brand title.
