9 Fast Ways To Improve Your Golf Score

Golf is a tough game that takes a lot of dedication and practice to master. Here are 9 fast ways to improve your golf score without any additional effort.

1. Hit a ball off the fairway in low bushes, kick it out and say it must have bounced off a squirrel.

2. Shoot a double-bogey and report to your partner you got a par.

3. Don’t fill in your scorecard until after the round and then try to remember as best you can, usually 10-15 strokes lower.

4. Always play the easiest course in your town, remembering to take 5 extra strokes off because the “conditions are so bad” there.

5. Throw the ball out of sand traps onto the surrounding grass, saying it is doctor’s orders — because of your bad back you can’t stand on unstable surfaces.

6. After playing the wrong fairway in 6 holes in a row due to you horrendous slice, lower your score by one stroke each hole. You earned it because you had to walk so far to get to your ball.

7. After you pay $1000 to the owner of that blue Camaro you hit by hooking the ball into the parking lot, take 5 strokes off to ease the pain.

8. Your boss asks you to play golf with him, his wife and his daughter who they can’t seem to marry off. Take off 6 strokes for the ordeal.

9. Golf is clearly harder than tennis, running and other dumb sports your friends like. Lower your score by 8 points each round due to this difficulty.

There you have it — 9 fast ways to lower your golf score. These tips do not closely follow the Rules of Golf, so use them wisely.
