Detroit Red Wings petition NHL to allow goals scored when shooting on their own net to count in their favor

It’s tough to have a blah season, currently sitting at 24-27 wins-losses, but perhaps the Detroit Red Wings may want to rethink their new strategy of increasing goals by scoring on themselves. The team has petitioned the NHL to allow future goals they score on themselves to count as a goal for them.
