Drag storytime program to debut on NBC this summer

A new TV show featuring drag racing drivers telling stories debuts this summer on NBC. “The drivers will have microphones in their helmet so they can tell stories as they race, providing entertainment for the stadium crowd and live audiences around the country,” a spokesperson explained.

“The stories are naturally short as a race is about five seconds or so. We are working with authors to trim their stories down so the entire narrative arc can be digested quickly. For example, Steven King, a huge drag race fan by the way, has slimmed down The Shining for us to ‘Empty hotel, man goes crazy, here’s Johnny!'”
