I Hate You! I Love You! I Need You!

Does President Trump really hate the press?

Eh, not so much.

We’ve all been in relationships where another person says, “I hate you! Go away!…..Wait!”

Heck, I’ve been that person. Many times. Sometimes I even call her months later: “Hi, I’ve been thinking about us. What do you mean there is no us? Of course there is. Where have I been? We agreed to take a break. What, you walked out on me? Wow, where was I during all this?”

I can’t remember the source because aging, but there was an article a few years ago when Trump was considering running for President (If I ever find it, I’ll come back and update this post). A reporter tagged along with him in New Hampshire. Trump was not a candidate, but as he often did, was threatening to run.

The reporter is in an SUV with Trump, his driver and another Trump organization guy. The reporter says something like, “Did you see the polls about you that came out this morning, Mr. Trump?”

Trump said something along the lines of, “I don’t care about polls. I’m my own man.”

Long pause.

Trump said, “What did the polls say?”

He doesn’t hate the media.

He loves and needs it.
