Last fun fact of the year

Final fun fact of the year: Over the years, six Apollo mission astronauts have left 96 bags of human waste on the moon to make way for moon rocks and junk.

Scientists estimate most of the “samples” are deteriorated due to extreme temps and cosmic radiation. But just about half of human waste is bacteria. It can lay dormant for a many years, so NASA wants to bring back some of the bags to determine how microbes survive in space.

Happy New Year!
