Live Report From Historic 5.1 North Carolina Earthquake

I’m reporting from the historic 5.1 earthquake we had in North Carolina today.

It started out at 2.3 with a foreshock. That’s like when your wife tells you beforehand that she is going to kill you if you don’t mow the lawn TODAY.

The earthquake peaked at 5.1, an unheard size for North Carolina. We haven’t been this shocked around here since the Andy Griffith show went off the air in 1968.

The earthquake was right on the border with South Carolina, but more on our side. Once again we win. OK, they have better beaches, but we have better earthquakes.

We will have aftershocks for the next few days. It’s kind of like last year when I forgot our anniversary, my wife didn’t let ME forget about it for the next 6 months.
