Loose Lid on Cookie Tin Blamed For Stale Christmas Cookies Delivered to Local Man’s Home

A local man received a tin of Christmas cookies and gingerbread men from his sister in Wyoming this week. Witnesses say the cookies were dry and crumbly when they arrived because the cookie tin lid became loose in shipment.

“The cookie tin had tape on the lid, and the entire thing was in a cardboard box. But you know how these shipping companies are. They throw things around like they are tossing salmon at the Fulton Fish Market. The tin got loose and the cookies dried out,” said a bystander.

The man’s sister spoke with a lawyer about suing the shipping company. “It’s a very difficult thing to prove,” advised her lawyer. “Tell your brother to wash the cookies down with some cold milk and be done with it. It happens.”
