Man Wanted for Fifteen Years by Cops Found Hiding Inside Washing Machine

A guy wanted by police for more than 15 years was found hiding in the washing machine in his apartment.  The police searched for him as his girlfriend stalled them for several hours. One officer opened the washer on a hunch, moved a wet towel and there was their man.

“I don’t know if he was hiding in there for all 15 years,” said the chief of police, “or just during the time officers were searching the apartment. I do know he was soaking wet, seemed dizzy and confused, appeared disheveled and wrung out. At the same time, he smelled fresh and clean, with a slight pine forest scent.”

The man was charged with evading arrest, hiding in an appliance and excess use of bleach. His girlfriend was also charged with hiding a fugitive in a washing machine on the incorrect wash cycle. The police chief said she had selected, “Hot Wash, Cold Rinse” cycle when she should have chosen, “Warm Wash, My Boyfriend is Busted.”
