Montreal Canadiens goalies initiate blockade to support vaccine mandate protests

A group of goalies for the storied Montreal Canadiens hockey team has initiated a blockade of all opponents shots on net to support vaccine mandate protests which have ignited Canada.

“Up to now we have let in almost all shots on our goal this season. We let opponents run wild,” said a spokesgoalie. “Now that we are in last place in the Atlantic Division, it is an opportune time to change direction and actually prevent goals. In this way, we are demonstrating our support for Canadian truckers and others protesting vaccine mandates.”

Top goal scorers on leading teams welcomed the change, one saying, “Good for them. At least they should try to stop shots. I mean, I’ve scored 479 goals on them this year. Sometimes I think they maybe forgot they had a game that day or something.”
