Paul The Apostle? Who?

True Story:

Me: Hello, I understand your university has the earliest known copies of Apostle Paul’s letters. Can the public view those?

Person on phone: What is that?

Me: It’s call the P46. Apostle Paul wrote all these letters back in Bible times and you have some of them.

Person: Who?

Me: Paul the Apostle, like in the Bible. He was the guy that walked all around the known world spreading Christianity. Well, he wrote these letters to a bunch of people and you have some.

Person: Well, they probably will only let you borrow one or two.

Me: Yeah, no. These are priceless artifacts from around the first century. If they loaned me one, I would set in on my car roof while I bobbled my coffee and keys to unlock the door, forget it was up there and drive away while Paul’s “Letter to the Canadians” or whatever blows into the football stadium.

(And so forth. I said I’d call back.)
