The mastiff who slid on his belly
In the snowy streets of Minneapolis,
A mastiff did roam and roam,
With his belly on the ground,
He would slide down the hills as his home.
The kids in the neighborhood,
Would gather round and round,
To watch the mastiff slide,
With such grace and sound.
And soon they joined in,
Jumping on the mastiff’s back,
Riding down the hills,
A true winter sledding pack.
The mastiff loved the cold,
And the feeling of the wind in his face,
As he and the kids,
Slid down the hills with such grace.
They laughed and had so much fun,
As they went sledding together,
The mastiff and the kids,
Bonding in the cold, harsh weather.
And even when the snow melted,
And spring had finally arrived,
The mastiff and the kids,
Would always have those sledding memories, oh so alive.
