Religion and Faith

What’s with the spelling error?

I hear you. You want to know why it is called the “Catholic” church.

Well, the first person to call it that was St. Ignatius in 110AD and it stuck.

He wrote “Wheresoever the bishop shall appear, there let the people be, even as where Jesus may be, there is the universal [katholike] Church.

OK, but “Katholike”?

What’s with the spelling error, huh, Saint Ignayshus?
