Cleveland Man Prays 12 Weeks Straight Night and Day for Browns Success—Wins Lottery Instead

A Cleveland man prayed in his living room for 12 weeks straight that the Cleveland Browns would turn around their misfortunes and see the winning circle again. There was an answer from the Almighty, but not the won he originally sought.

“I won $36 million in the lottery,” said Ivan Thebrownswillkillme said in a statement yesterday. “It wasn’t my original request, but as we know God works in mysterious ways.”

Thebrownswillkillme lives in the East side of town. “During this past winter we had about 97 feet of snow one weekend. I was shut in and just fell to my knees and prayed for the Browns. I didn’t get up for 12 weeks, only taking breaks to go to the bathroom and watch Jeopardy,” he said.

Instead of gridiron glory for the Browns, he sparked a review by the Lord and apparently the report was good. Last week he won $36 Million in weekly Lotto. When they called the final number on the weekly Lotto show, he couldn’t believe it.

“I had to get my son to check the numbers because my heart isn’t good. I thought it might put me over the top,” Thebrownswillkillme he explained. His son, Thaddeus, read the numbers and confirmed their authenticity. At that point, he drove his father to the Lotto office.

What about the Browns, now?

“Oh, I’m still praying,” he said.
