Congrats to the future of golf, Jon Rahm Rodriquez, for winning the 2023 Masters

Congrats to Jon Rahm Rodriguez for winning the 2023 Masters golf tournament. He was the world’s number one amateur for 60 weeks before turning pro. He became the world’s number one in the pro ranks after winning in Columbus at the Memorial in 2020.

His first major win was the US Open the following year at Torrey Pines (fun fact – Torrey is a public course and they let you play the day after pro tournaments and they leave the pins in the same positions).

Rahm is from Spain – his last name comes from a Swiss ancestor who came to Spain in the 1700s. The direct translation to English means, “short swing, long drives.”
