Expert Says Robots Will Be Smarter than Humans in Fifty Years; Movie Fans Say It is Not Fast Enough

A professor at the University of New South Wales says artificial intelligence will outstrip humans in five decades. Movie fans say it won’t be fast enough.

“We are tired of cash-grab sequels, boring stories, retread plots, lousy acting and tired action sequences we’ve seen a million times before,” said Movie Fan Association president Ally Nomoresequels. “Hollywood continues to disappoint us year after year. It is our hope that robotics and AI will be able to address all these problems that never get fixed.”

Hollywood Movie Producers Association president Ivan Homeinbelair said he doesn’t know what the problem is. “Come on, people have loved Hollywood movies for forever. What more do you want from us? We gave you ET, for crying out loud!” he laughed as he turned to finish his round of golf.
