I can give you a good deal on the balcony

An Italian town is having problems selling homes for only 1 Euro. They’ve asked residents who may have abandoned homes to relinquish the property so the city could sell them. But it is difficult to get far-flung, feuding or disinterested family members to agree to sell:

“Abandoned buildings in old Italian towns are sometimes split between multiple heirs who own just a section – like a bathroom, balcony, kitchen – and nothing can be sold without written consent from all heirs, as per Italian law.”

Say what? One family member owns the bathroom and another the kitchen. Italy is crazy.
