Meteorologist is the first woman to send official storm warning at elite weather center

For the first time in 70 years, a woman sent out the official thunderstorm warning from the elite Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Congrats to Elizabeth Leitman, who is one of only two women at the 22-person center.

Still, in my experience, women have given warnings of coming thunderstorms in the past. Things like:
1. Silence
2. “Nothing’s wrong.”
3. Loud banging of things like closing car doors or placing pans in the sink.
4. “I said nothing’s wrong.”
5. Silence.
