OK then, all women are banned
Thankfully, this kind of thinking is in golf’s past. I heard this story on the Rick Shiels podcast: In the late 1980s in England a foursome of golf club members was on the 18th green at the end of a very close match. A fellow needed to sink a 5-footer for par to win the whole thing. It lipped out and he swore very loudly, so much so some lunching ladies on the grill patio complained to club management. So the club very quickly banned all women from the patio for 12 months.
