Uber Brings Back Space Shuttle for New Atlanta Test Service

Uber announced today a new test service in Atlanta using refurbished Space Shuttles. In preparation for the January 1, launch of Uber Shuttle, the ubiquitous ride share company has purchased several Space Shuttles and renovated them inside and out.

“Space shuttles are surprisingly affordable,” said a company spokesperson. “But we had to prepare them for ride share use. We spent almost as much on renovation as we did on the purchase.”

“Cool,” said Chicago resident Wendy Momcallsmebetty. “I love Uber and it will be fun to share rides with other Atlantans on a real Space Shuttle. I just hope I don’t have to wear an oxygen mask!” she chuckled.

Uber said initial research shows positive response from area residents. Long-time Uber driver Al Drivallday reminded riders to tip their Uber Shuttle drive because they pay for their own rocket fuel.
