3 Romantic Things to Do in Cincinnati That Will Put The Spark Back in Your Relationship or At Least Charge It Up for a Weekend

Cincinnati is one of the most romantic cities in the country, right behind Tuscaloosa and parts of Bangor, Maine. If you want to put a little zing back in your relationship, the Queen City has you covered. Here are three things to try this weekend to put the smile back on your face and love in your gizzard, whatever that is.

Queen City Heights B&B

Spend the weekend remembering why you fell in love in the first place in a classic 1820s mansion complete with chocolate flowers, free laundry, free steam ironing, and free butler service providing Butterfinger and Cadbury Caramilk bars at your demand. The Queen City Heights B&B has hosted several famous couples including the woman who invented the popular board game “Divorce Now or Never” and her former husband.

Banglo’s Bistro

This is a classic bistro with a twist: the chef and kitchen staff work in the dining room while guests sit in the kitchen. It’s another crazy idea from one of the Food Station’s favorite personalities: Bill “Banglo” Bernsteiner. “It gets people talking and spreads easily on social media,” Banglo told me. “My ideas are meant to be a ‘pattern interrupt,’ getting you out of your comfort zone at least for awhile. Think of my eateries as an escape from reality, like an amusement park with foie gras. That HAS to improve your love life, right?”

Big Island Amusement Park

You might not think of an amusement park as a great romantic getaway unless you are thirteen years old. But that’s exactly what you need - a summer night with your special someone at Big Island will make you feel like a kid again.
Grab a cotton candy, stroll along the midway, try your hand at the carnival games and ride the giant Ferris wheel. You’ll feel the original joy and lightness of being that infused your relationship in the early days.

And to really bring back those days of youth, try breaking up at 8pm near the Log Ride because he said he liked your friend, get back together at 835pm near the Tilt-A-Whirl, break up again at the Haunted Hallways ride because she said she used to date the quarterback and they still stay in touch, then get back together again around 10pm because your mom is here to drive you home.
