City of Los Angeles Passes Ordinance Preventing Temperature from Dropping Below 67 Degrees

The City of Los Angeles passed a new ordinance today making it illegal for the outside temperature to drop below 67 degrees. The new law is a response to citizen complaints that it was getting too cold in the winter months.

“I really don’t think it’s fair that the temperature goes down to 50 or 55 degrees,” said long-time LA resident Mona Dropitlikeitshot. “I’m a native Angeleno and pay taxes. I’ve earned a nice, even temperature that isn’t too cold. My cats don’t like it.”

“This law will help our residents lead safer, more productive lives,” said the mayor at a press conference. “By keeping the temperature above 67 degrees, fewer residents will have to make the difficult decision to wear a light sweater outside or not.”
