Disney introduces new “DeSantis Fee” added to all Disney goods and services sold in Florida

First, Disney stood with their employees who didn’t agree with Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida. So DeSantis revoked Disney’s long-standing special business district rights. But before DeSantis could install his board of lackeys to oversee Florida’s takeover of the district, Disney added a last-minute clause that says “21 years after the death of the last survivor of the descendants of King Charles III, king of England living as of the date of this declaration”.

Now DeSantis is punching back by saying he will raise taxes on Disney and a whole bunch of other retaliatory moves.

So don’t be surprised when Disney shows a “DeSantis Fee” on your ticket for Disney World services when you take the family down this summer. “The DeSantis Fee will appear on all Disney goods and services purchased in Florida,” a company spokesperson explained. “The fee covers increased taxes and other punitive actions taken by the governor against a beloved American institution.”
