LeBron James Buys Staples Center With Plans To Convert It Into Primary Residence

LeBron James’ partner Maverick Carter announced today LeBron James has purchased Staples Center in Los Angeles with plans to convert the facility into his primary home once his transition to the Los Angeles Lakers is complete.

Carter told the press, “We haven’t even announced LeBron has signed a deal to come to the Lakers, but let’s be honest, the writing was on the wall. Once the Cavs went down 2-0 to the Celtics, we felt confident most of the fans would understand this change is inevitable.”

Asked where the Lakers, Kings and Clippers would play if the James family is living there, Carter said the family will live on the top floors, while the playing area and related facilities will remain as they are for now. “LeBron considered changing the arena area into a movie theater, but those plans are on hold. Once the Cavs bow out after a 4-0, or possibly 5-1, loss to the Celtics, LeBron will begin building 10 extra floors to accommodate his family, as well as visitors and friends.”
