The box jellyfish has one of the deadliest stings in the world

If you brush against a tentacle of a Box Jellyfish while swimming in the ocean, you may get a shot of extremely speedy and painful venom which attacks the nervous system and heart. Some people die before getting back to the beach.

There is no treatment. You can only put vinegar on it which helps neutralize the venom.

So I’m about to die and the only treatment is something my mom would think of? “Oh honey, look at you, you are turning BLUE! A jellyfish? How silly. Let’s just put some vinegar on it. You’ll be fine. Just lie down for a while but don’t miss dinner. We are having meat loaf!”
