3 Reasons Villanova Will Win the 2018 NCAA Basketball Championship

Villanova will be victorious in tonight’s NCAA Championship game. Here are the reasons why.

Saint Augustine

Villanova University was founded by the Order of St Augustine, the same order that founded the town of St. Augustine on the coast of Florida. The school worked a deal with the seaside community that allows students to vacation for free at any hotel in the city anytime they want. The players are therefore more rested then any opponent they come up against, paving their way to the Final Four and ultimately the championship tonight.

Best of 46th Place Schools

Villanova tied for 46th in the competition for Best National University in the country in 2018 by US News & World Report. They tied with the International School for Replacing Water Faucets and Fixing Pipes Under the Sink. Because the International School does not have a basketball team, Villanova has the sole distinction as the best team in the country among schools tied for 46th place in this ranking.

Grit and persistence

Villanova opened in 1842, closed in 1845, and opened again in 1846. They had to close temporarily due to a lack of pencils in the area brought on by a shortage of erasers. The machine that shapes erasers to the perfect roundness broke and no one could fix it for many months. This persistence and grit is what separates Villanova from competitors, and these qualities have transferred to the basketball court.

For those reasons, you can expect Villanova will win 2018 NCAA Basketball Tournament tonight.
