3 Reasons Why the Las Vegas Golden Knights will Win the 2018 Stanley Cup

Las Vegas has a team in the Stanley Cup finals. Did you hear what I just said. The town of Las Vegas has a team in the gosh darn Stanley Cup finals. And how about this?: They are brand new.

It’s no wonder people think they are a team destined for greatness. Here are three reasons they will win it all.

Seven Players

Las Vegas is a town of illusion and magic. The Golden Knights tapped the skills of the magic community in town to learn how to deceive officials and the public. With the latest stage technology and cunning application of psychological sleight-of-brain, each game the Golden Knights put seven players on the ice. No one has ever figured it out.

Expanded Betting

The Knights have not only innovated on the ice, they’ve created new concepts in sports betting. To generate tons of early interest in the team, they worked with local sports books to create entire new betting categories. You can bet on how many beer cups will be found in the floor of the arena after a game, how many times the Zamboni goes around the rink in a season, and even how many punches are thrown in hockey fights — on the ice, in the stands or both.

Hockey Pads Made of Armor

The Golden Knights take their name very seriously. That’s why their hockey pads are made from real armor worn by actual knights from the Late Middle Ages. Since their were no goalie pads back then, the team created them by melting down the swords of 250 knights used in the Hundred Years War between England and France.
