Travel and Places

Excuse me, when were you going to mention the roof flew off the plane?

Did you know:

-Captains and co-pilots share the flying, both able to do takeoffs and landings.
Sure, but can they do the important stuff like serve beers if needed.

-Pilots start out at around $40,000.
$10,000 goes to voice training so they all sound like they are from Alabama.

-To be a first officer (co-pilot) in the US, you have to be at least 21. To be a captain, you have to be at least 23.
21? Too young I think. Let’s move that up to 31.

-There is a certain point in over-ocean flights that the pilot will not turn back if an engine fails. They will keep on going to the destination.
I’ve been in relationships like that. It’s failing but nobody wants to quit until you crash.

-If something serious goes wrong on the flight (like the engine failing thing), they probably won’t tell you unless they have to.
OK, fine, but if the roof flies off and you don’t mention it, I’m not going to be happy.
