Uber Offers Shriner Mini-Car Service

In their quest to offer more options for consumers, Uber announced today they will begin offering Shriner Mini-Car service next month. Shriner Mini-Cars are small replicas of real cars, most often seen driven by Shriners in local parades.

“The Shriner Mini-Car joins our line-up of transportation options which includes our flagship rideshare service as well as our newer choices like electric scooters and bikeshare,” said a company spokesperson. “The Shriner Mini-Car is a great option for someone who doesn’t have the balance needed for scooters, and thinks bikeshares are dorky.”

City officials said they have not been asked for approval on the Mini-Cars, and expressed concern customers might leave then strewn about sidewalks and clogging up bikeshare lanes. “They haven’t asked us for approval, so we are going to watch how it goes for a few weeks before we clamp down,” said the mayor’s office.

Depending on the outcome of the Mini-Car service, Uber plans to add Mini-Dune Buggy and Mini-Ferrari options as well.
